Here are answers to some of the question asked about the Smileage Membership.
Q Where can I use it? +
A
You can use your Smileage card throughout the Solare Hotels and Resorts hotel chain, as well as at shops bearing the Symons sticker. Have a look at the Symons home page (Japanese only ) to see what shops are included. We are steadily increasing the number of member shops in a whole range of categories, giving you even more opportunities to earn points.
Note: Some products and services are excluded from the point program. Please refer to the TERMS & CONDITIONS for details.
Q When do I start earning points? +
A You can start earning points for your hotel stays and at restaurants on the day the card isissued.
Q How do I earn points? +
A You earn one Smileage point for every 100 yen you spend. Be sure to show your card to the cashier when you settle your account.
Note: The number of points you earn may differ at certain member shops.
Q When can I start using the points I've earned? +
A You can begin using the points on the day* you earn them. Be sure to show your card to the cashier when you settle your account. You'll get one yen for each Smileage point.
* Although this is true in most cases, certain member shops may require slightly more time.
Q Is point usage reflected on my receipt? +
A When you use your points at Solare Hotels and Resorts hotels and restaurants, the total amount of payment (including your point usage) is shown on your receipt.
Note: Although this is generally the case, please confirm when paying, as this may not be possible at some hotels.
Q How do I check how many points I have? +
A You can use either one of two methods.
(Method 1)
You can check your points at any time on the Solare Hotels and Resorts website.
Check your points (Method 2)
You can show your card and ask at the front desk of one of our hotels.
Q How do I join? +
A You can join via our website or at one of our hotels. Just inquire at the front desk of any hotel for details.
Q What do I do if I've lost my password or want to change the password I've registered? +

Q The e-mail confirming my member registration hasn't arrived. +

Please check again to be sure that you have entered your e-mail address correctly. If your address has been entered correctly but you still haven't received the confirmation e-mail, contact us at member@solarehotels.com .
If the e-mail address you've registered with us is for your mobile phone, check your mail settings. Your phone may be set to reject all messages or any over a certain size. We recommend that you use a PC-based e-mail address when you register.
Q I just joined, and want to start using the program today. How can I do this? Will I start earning points right away? +
A
You can make same-day reservations via our website , or you can call the hotel directly. Check with the front desk of the hotel to be sure that your points will be added.
Q How will the card arrive? Also, I've just joined via your website. How can I earn points between now and the time the card arrives? +
A Your card should arrive within two to three days after you apply, depending on where you live. It will arrive by post. You will not be able to earn points unless you show your card when you check in.
