Chisun Inn Network to Include Nagaoka, Niigata Prefecture2008.01.15

Solare Hotels & Resorts Co. Ltd. (Head Office: Minato Ward, Tokyo; President: A. G. Virili; URL: www.solarehotels.com/english) today announced plans to a build roadside-type hotel in Nagaoka City, Niigata Pref.

Chisun Inn Nagaoka will be Solare’s third Chisun Inn roadside hotel in Niigata Pref., following Chisun Inn Niigata Chuo Inter, Niigata City, and Chisun Inn Joetsu Inter, Joetsu City. The new Chisun Inn Nagaoka is situated a mere 2.1 km from the Nagaoka Interchange on the Kanetsu Expressway, conveniently adjacent to the junction of National Route 351 and National Route 8, one of the city’s most important thoroughfares. Located in a suburban shopping area, the hotel is close to industrial parks such as the New Industrial Center, the Nagaoka Ironworks Complex, and Northern Nagaoka Industrial Park, and will target mainly business travelers.

Says Hotels & Resorts CEO A.G. Virili: “We have been actively expanding our network of Chisun Inn roadsides, with many new openings and 20 new site acquisitions in 2007. Another 6 sites were contracted. We have just appointed dedicated management to oversee development in the highly potential Kansai market. Our pipeline is well stocked; we plan to open at least 11 new Chisun Inn roadsides in 2008 and a minimum of 20 in 2009. In addition, we are actively seeking franchise opportunities to fan Chisun Inn growth even further, in order to be present in every prefecture throughout Japan by 2012.”
