Roadside-Type Hotel Network to Include Himeji, Kitakyushu and Kofu2007.12.19

Solare Hotels & Resorts Co. Ltd. will begin construction of roadside-type hotels in Kitakyushu City (Fukuoka Pref.), Kofu City (Yamanashi Pref.) and Himeji City (Hyogo Pref.).

Chisun Inn Yahata will be Solare’s second Chisun Inn in Fukuoka Pref., and the fifth Chisun Inn roadside-type hotel in Kyushu, following the hotels in Tosu (Saga Pref.), Kumamoto Miyuki Fueda (Kumamoto Pref.), Omura Nagasaki Airport (Nagasaki Pref.) and Munakata (Fukuoka Pref.). The hotel is situated along National Route 3, an important thoroughfare linking Kitakyushu and Hakata, and is only 2.8 km from the Kurosaki Ramp on the Kitakyushu Expressway. Lying within the Kitakyushu industrial belt a mere 2.1 km from JR Kurosaki Station, Chisun Inn Yahata is also close to sporting facilities and a university town, and intends to leverage its convenient location to target a wide range of leisure and business travelers.

Chisun Inn Kofu-Minami Inter is Solare’s first roadside-type hotel in Yamanashi Pref., and is situated on National Route 358, a direct link to Kofu City. The property is located near Ai Messe (host to various exhibitions and events), industrial parks where major electronic manufacturers operate, and sporting facilities – including Kose Sports Park, the home stadium of J-League soccer club Ventforet Kofu. Chisun Inn Kofu-Minami Inter expects year-round demand from business travelers as well as guests who are attracted by events and sports. With the location additionally en route to tourist attractions like Mt. Fuji, Lake Shojin and Lake Motosu, the hotel also expects to be frequented by tourists.

Located on the crossroads of National Route 2 and Prefectural Road 417, Chisun Inn Himeji Yumesakibashi is easily accessible by car. It can be found 3.7 km from the Sanyo Himeji Nishi Interchange, 2.3 km from the Daigo Ramp of Himeji Bypass, and 2.0 km from Himeji Nishi Ramp. The property lies close to a large-scale coastal industrial zone, home to both local manufacturers’ factories and electronics manufacturers’ precision machinery plants. As Himeji City boasts various tourist attractions, including the World Heritage-listed Himeji Castle, the hotel will target leisure as well as business travelers. Although Solare already operates two properties in the prefecture (Chisun Hotel Kobe and Kobe Bay Sheraton Hotel & Towers), Chisun Inn Himeji Yumesakibashi will be the group’s first roadside-type hotel in Hyogo Pref.

Solare Hotels & Resorts CEO A.G. Virili commented; “We are actively developing roadside-type hotels. By the end of 2007 our ninth hotel of this type will already be in operation. Another 16 additional hotels – including the three announced today – are under development or construction. We will continue developing these hotels to achieve our goal of operating 50 hotels in this category with a total of 4,700 guestrooms, Given we have decided to franchise the concept, the number could well exceed 70 by 2010.”
